Knesset

The Knesset is Israel's house of representatives (the parliament), and has four main functions:

1. To pass laws – the Knesset has the sole authority to pass laws -
2. to supervise government work,
3. to choose the President of Israel and the state comptroller, and
4. to deliberate over state issues through the Knesset committees
