Seeds as Living Lineages! https://x.com/NaturallySudha/status/2036090113969791025 Nammalvar, the famous farmer-scientist says a seed is more powerful than a we@p0n! We can't go back in time, but our people knew how to capsule seeds of ancient times to be used now and forever! Here's how traditional tomato seeds are preserved. First healthy fruits are identified. They are squeezed and the pulp is kept under shade for a couple of days. The dry mixture is then washed well when the slimy part is washed off and the individual seeds remain. Equal quantities of Nochi leaf (nirgundi) powder, neem leaf powder and wood ash are all mixed with the seeds and sundried nicely to remove the moisture. The mixture is stored in cotton cloth bag and stored inside mud pots or in thick glass bottles. As much as it is important to use traditional crops, it's all the more important to preserve them for our future generations! This is how the civilizations of our land have passed on seeds across their lineage. We are only caretakers, not owners. Civilizations across Bharat and the world treated seeds almost like sacred inheritance.
